New Features

Curved Screens

  • Full curve feature is now live! Set screens utilizing curve-capable products as a global concave/convex angle or adjust each seam individual for waves and custom shapes. All curve information and a top down view are now added to the summary PDF export as well as a 2.5D previsualization of the curve in Producer(AC) Mode

Processing Tab

  • A new tab has been added to the Wiring Tab view called Processing which allows you to assign, clone, and configure processor outputs combining multiple screens into one raster without interrupting your build view. This feature is available to Expert Mode users for much more customizable configurations and granularity. Processor numbers update on the Signal wiring diagrams and exports to accurately reflect assignments. Outputs to LivePremier Output Push assume the configuration and resolution of processors

Live Monitor

  • A new control/monitoring feature you can find in the View > Live Monitor menu now allows you to actively control all Brompton processors while on show site. This view gives you control over majority of settings available inside Brompton Tessera Remote software such as Brightness, Colour Temperature, Global Colour Gains, Test Patterns, Blackout/Freeze, as well as a very detailed log of errors and statuses of redundancies, network loads, and much more. This feature is also supported on RasterLab Mobile via the new Live tab
  • Control and monitor for other supported processors will continue to be added in the future based on available APIs from other manufacturers

Bugs

  • Minor bug fixes
  • Fixed a bug that caused the app to hang after “Export Per Processor” PNG was activated once on the Summary Tab Screen Grid Layout section
  • Fixed a bug with Y-cabling power and the second leg wasn’t populated the circuit number was not appearing on the wiring diagram PDF export
  • On Novastar's non-COEX senders, a processor-redundancy backup was drawn as a duplicate of the primary. The Signal tab drew two identical "MCTRL4K #1" cards and stamped P1 on both ends of every chain, so there was no way to tell the redundant feed from the primary. On MCTRL4K, VX1000, VX4S, and MCTRL660 Pro the backup is a separate box with its own sockets, so it now takes its own number and reads P2A1 against the primary's P1A1, with the badge at the far end of the run to show the redundant feed entering from the opposite side
  • Dual Helios backup ports fed the same end of the chain as the primary, so both processors patched into the same head panel and the tail of the chain had no backup at all. The backup processor's chain is now reversed
  • Processor split lines now line up with the drag handle on every screen
  • Mobile: Helios dual-redundancy and none-mode auto-routing fixed, A/B and C/D redundancy for SX40 added, Y-cable power option added, and grids now reflect remapped screens
  • Helios switch uplink capacity is now enforced during auto-routing. A switch exposes 12 RJ45s but is fed by a single 10Gb uplink, so only 9 loaded ports at 1GbE and 3 at 2.5GbE fit behind it
  • Feature Updates-
  • RasterLab mobile and RasterLab for desktop both have a preference/setting panel that allow you to control defaults (set your default bit depth, processor, frequency, power standard, reset PDF versioning numbers) to make your life easier. On mobile, tap the Cog icon on the welcome screen or the project name at the top of in an open project to access these settings; and on desktop navigate to RasterLab > Preferences… to access settings (note: tap and hold on the project name to rename it, tap once for settings)
  • When viewing a particular screen in your project, this screen is set to maintain view when switching between all tabs for consistency of use
  • The user manual is fully up to date. New sections cover Curved Screens, the Processing tab, Live Monitor, Previsualization in Producer(AC) mode, and the ground-support rigging math including the ROE over-4m rule
  • 10-bit and 12-bit are now available on MCTRL4K, VX1000, VX4S, and MCTRL660 Pro. These were locked to 8-bit, but Novastar's manual documents 10-bit and 12-bit sources with their own port capacity

Please Note

  • If you have projects saved before this release that use Group Auto-Fit or canvas remap, open them once and click Reset, then Auto-Fit. Reset restores the true physical panel positions and Auto-Fit re-derives the new packed layout. This is a one-time step per project.
