Website Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy covers this website (the pages at hythfoc.us, including RasterLab's download pages). It is separate from the RasterLab application privacy policy, which covers the desktop app itself.

Download logging:
When you download a RasterLab release from this site, the server records a timestamp, the filename, and a one-way SHA-256 hash — truncated and derived from your IP address and browser User-Agent string. This hash cannot be reversed back into your IP address or used to identify you; it exists solely so we can count how many distinct people downloaded each release. No raw IP address, name, email address, or other personal information is stored.

Contact form:
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you enter are sent directly to the site owner's inbox by email so we can reply to you. This information is not stored in a database, used for marketing, or shared with anyone other than the site owner.

Cookies and tracking:
This site does not use cookies, third-party analytics, or general tracking scripts. The only thing saved in your browser is a light/dark theme preference, stored in your browser's local storage — it never leaves your device and is used purely for display.

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which sets its own cookies and may collect hardware/software information (such as device and application data) to help distinguish humans from bots. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Who can see this data:
Download statistics are visible only to the site owner, via a password-protected internal page, and are never shared with or sold to third parties.
